(The Center Square) – Unemployment in Indiana reached an all-time low last month of 2.3%. But in February, the state paid out a record $154 million in SNAP benefits — food stamps. That’s more than twice the amount the state paid out in February 2020, the month before a statewide public health emergency was declared.
I find Gorsuch's opinion incomprehensible, but am not versed in the "privacy rights" of businesses. I scanned the article twice, but did not see what the acronym FMI stands for. Federal Market Index? Do you know?
And this explains why the legislature, despite congratulating themselves on giving themselves the ability to end the state of emergency, never did actually do that. Big bunch of cowards.
Sending our country into yet deeper debt while spending money that didn’t need to be spent and then ingratiating themselves to voters with the state surplus tax refund. Which in all likelihood could have been used to pay for any SNAP or Medicaid funds we needed once our state state of emergency was declared done. I guess since it’s an election year, it was more attractive to buy our votes with tax refunds than by doing what was best long term for our state and country.

Ugh. Holcomb absolutely needs to go.
