What happened in Florida in 2021? VAERS shows scores of sudden deaths, serious injuries, heart damage in teens and young adults

On February 15, Florida’s surgeon general, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, alerted citizens of the state and doctors to an alarmingly high number of VAERS reports for the Covid-19 vaccines — an increase that doesn’t match what the state saw for the H1N1 vaccine or for any other vaccine.

There are more than 41,000 VAERS reports for Florida residents for the Covid vaccines, including reports of 564 deaths.

A 37-year-old man in Florida got the Moderna vaccine on April 5, 2021 and died suddenly three days later, on April 8.

Narrative:

“He said he felt bad and fell over and died.”

A 27-year-old man in Florida got a first dose of the Moderna vaccine, and then a second dose, and three days later, was found unresponsive.

Narrative:

“According to his mother, Pt [patient] received his second dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on August 2, 2021. Two days later, on August 4, 2021, he complained of not feeling well. He could not provide specific symptoms, but said that it involved his entire body and was not like anything he had ever experienced before. The following day, on August 5, 2021 he was found unresponsive on a train. He was subsequently hospitalized and pronounced deceased on 08/09/2021.”

A 20-year-old Florida woman got the Moderna vaccine on September 10, 2021 and died the next day.

“Had a heart attack and was gasping for air.”

In a letter that Ladapo sent on February 15 to Rochelle Walensky, director of the CDC, and Robert Califf, commissioner of the FDA, he cited a September 2022 study from the medical journal Vaccine that found that the mRNA COVID-1 9 vaccines are associated with an excess risk of serious adverse events, and listed four of those adverse events: coagulation disorders, acute cardiac injuries, Bell's palsy, and encephalitis. The researchers, he pointed out, found that the risk of a serious adverse event following vaccination with one of the mRNA Covid-19 vaccines (Pfizer or Moderna) was 1 in 550.

“To claim these vaccines are ‘safe and effective’ while minimizing and disregarding the adverse events is unconscionable,” Ladapo wrote.

A 35-year-old man got his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on May 7, 2021 and the next day began having heart pains.

Narrative:

“myocarditis; Chest pain…On 08 May 2021 02:00, the patient experienced chest pain. The event chest pain resulted in Emergency room/department or urgent care, hospitalization, and was life threatening illness (immediate risk of death from the event). On 13 May 2021, the patient's wife reported that her husband was in the hospital with myocarditis onset from 11May2021 (also reported as three days after receiving his second dose of the vaccine). The patient was admitted to the hospital at 02:00 on Tuesday 11 May 2021, he was still in the hospital by the time of reporting. Also reported that the event myocarditis required Emergency Room visit. A lot of testing were done such as cardiac ultrasounds, several electrocardiogram (EKG)s and electrocardiogram (ECG)s, nuclear cardiac wall motion test or some kind of nuclear test she is unsure of the name, chest x-rays three times, several blood works, his troponin levels (heart enzyme) was critical. The patient did not have COVID prior to vaccination. The patient had been tested post vaccination, COVID test type post vaccination was Nasal Swab on 11 May 2021, result was Negative. The patient had full work up less than a year ago and everything came back completely normal (In 2020). Therapeutic measures were taken as a result of events chest pain and myocarditis. The patient was treated with medication and he had to get a wearable defibrillator called Life Vest. They have him on a blood thinner, carvedilol, and entresto. The outcome of the events was not recovered.”

A 16-year-old male got the Pfizer vaccine on May 15 and three days later, began having chest pain so severe that he was awakened from sleep.

Narrative:

“16-year-old male with no significant past medical history, now presenting with chest pain. Patient had 2 episodes of left-sided mid-chest pain. The initial episode was at ~ 3 am on 5/18 when the pain woke him up from sleep, lasted for ~ 20 minutes and he was able to fall back to sleep, he did not mention it to his parents at that time. Then it recurred at 2.30 pm - pressure-like pain in the same area, which radiated to his left shoulder. There were no significant worsening or alleviating factors. No change in pain quality or intensity with position. No shortness of breath, near-syncope or syncope, no palpitations. Upon his second pain episode, he called his parents on video chat and they instructed him to take 81 mg of aspirin and the pain subsided after 30 minutes. His parents promptly took him to the urgent care where he was found to have ST elevation and elevated troponin. He was transferred to CICU for further management. Admitted for myopericarditis with ST elevation and elevated troponin. On motrin q8h ATC, 12 lead EKG and troponin levels q6h. Underwent cardiac MRI on 5/20 which confirmed the diagnosis.”

A 35-year-old woman got the Pfizer vaccine on April 8, 2021 and on April 24, collapsed and died from a cardiac issue.

Narrative:

“She collapsed in her bathroom and her boyfriend immediately began CPR. Paramedics were unable to revive her. Cardiac event.”

The Lab Data section says: “All lab tests and organ pathology tests came back clear. Autopsy showed she had genetically inherited congenitally narrow arteries.”

A 34-year-old woman got the Pfizer vaccine on May 25, 2021, and started having symptoms on June 1.

Narrative:

“The night after the shot, I have extremely vivid and lucid dreams. The following week on June first, I notice that the texture of food felt different. I was still able to taste, but my tongue felt numb, almost. On June 3, my eye began to hurt...like I had something in it. I added a couple eye drops and took some Advil, and that seemed to work. On June 4th, my eye became worse, and eye drops were not helping. On the morning of June 5th, I noticed my smile was off and I could not drink out of a straw properly. Food textures were still off and my eye was much worse. I went to the Urgent Care, and they advised me to go to the ER to rule out anything neurological. The symptoms I was and still am experiencing, and was diagnosed with was Bell's Palsy. I have never had this happen before and rarely get sick. During this time I have had not other illness.”

There are nine reports in VAERS for Florida residents that include the term ‘encephalitis.’ In eight of the nine cases, it appears the person was treated for encephalitis in a Florida hospital.

A 49-year-old man got a second dose of the Moderna vaccine on April 15, 2021 and three days later, was taken to the emergency room in an ambulance with an altered mental state and aphasia (problems communicating through speech).

Narrative:

“Patient hospitalized from 4/18/21-4/23/21 4/18 Hospital Day 1: Patient (pt) presented to the ER via EMS for aphasia/altered mental status that began that AM. Pt had received his 2nd COVID19 vaccine (Moderna) x3 days prior. Pt had generalized body aches/fever and was taking acetaminophen for his symptoms with mild relief per wife. Per ER notes, patient had clear speech but was not making sense and easily agitated. 4/19-4/21 Hospital Day 2-4: Patient with altered mental status. Was non-verbal and easily agitated. There was concern for encephalitis, infectious vs autoimmune. On 4/19, antibiotics were discontinued and patient was being treated with steroids for possible autoimmune encephalitis. 4/22 Hospital Day 5: Patient was doing better and more talkative. Patient was able to have a limited conversation, appeared alert and oriented with some slow speech. Per medical chart, family reported patient was “50% back to baseline.” 4/23 Hospital Day 6: Patient was back at baseline and completed 3 days of IV steroids. Patient reported not being able to recall anything from Saturday 4/17 to Wednesday 4/21. Patient was discharged on 4/23 and recommended to follow up with neurology and was not discharged with any steroids. Treatments: Fever: APAP 1 IVPB x1 (4/18-4/19), APAP 650 mg PO x1 (4/20-4/21) Encephalitis: Methylprednisolone 125 mg IVPB x1 (4/18); Methylprednisolone 500 mg IVPB BID (4/19-4/23) ID: Acyclovir 700 mg IVPB q8h (HSV infection) [4/18-4/19]; Cefepime 2 g IVPB x1 (Sepsis) [4/18]; Ceftriaxone 2 g IVPB q12h (CNS infection) [4/18-4/19]; Vancomycin 2.25 g IVPB x1, 1.5 g IVPB q12h (CNS infection) [4/18-4/19]”

A study done 2007-2010 by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Inc. for the Agency for Health Care Research and Quality (part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services), showed that fewer than 1 percent of of adverse events from vaccines are ever reported to VAERS.

Doctors are required by law to report certain serious adverse events, but there is no enforcement of the law and no punishment for doctors who do not submit reports to VAERS, even for deaths occurring soon after vaccination.

Still, it is estimated that about 40 percent of VAERS reports are submitted by healthcare providers.
