Twitter halts Covid-19 censorship
Twitter abruptly announced it is no longer enforcing its Covid-19 misinformation policy and removed the entire policy from its website.
The notice was posted to the site this week, but says the enforcement stopped effective Nov. 23, 2022.
Twitter began censoring users for what it considered Covid-19 “misinformation” in March of 2020, but formalized its policy in December of 2021.
It was called the “Covid-19 misleading information policy.”
This policy has now been removed from Twitter’s website, but you can see most of it here below.
It was under this policy that Twitter suspended 11,200 people, including Dr. Robert Malone, Dr. Peter McCullough and hundreds of other doctors who were sharing their information and research, offering views that differed from those of the CDC and FDA.
On Thanksgiving Day, new Twitter owner Elon Musk announced a general amnesty under which all those whose accounts have been suspended will have them reinstated — all except those whose tweets violated the law.
He said suspended accounts will be reinstated this week.
Musk has also said that he will publicly reveal the extent of the censorship at Twitter under the previous management.
