Tally: 165 deaths in Indiana reported to VAERS from the Covid-19 vaccines, 277 people permanently disabled

The final numbers are in.

For just one state — Indiana — VAERS shows more than 27,000 reports of adverse events (possible side effects) from the Covid-19 vaccines through the end of 2022.

This includes 165 deaths, including five deaths in people under 40, and 277 instances in which it was reported that a person had become permanently disabled following vaccination.

There are also 252 life-threatening events, 1,735 emergency-room visits, 701 hospitalizations, 69 cases of myocarditis and 36 miscarriages following vaccination.

The Covid-19 vaccines were introduced in Indiana in mid-December of 2020, with Governor Eric Holcomb and the state health commissioner, Dr. Kristina Box, repeatedly assuring Hoosiers that the vaccines were “safe and effective.”

VAERS is the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System.

It is run jointly by the CDC and FDA and serves as the nation’s early-warning system for problems with vaccines.

It is estimated that about 40 percent of reports in VAERS are submitted by healthcare providers: doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, certified nursing assistants and others.

The rest are submitted by the patients themselves or by family members, in most cases.

VAERS is a passive reporting system, and information is only collected by healthcare providers and others who take the time to submit it.

A 2011 study by Harvard Pilgrim Health Care (done under contract for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, part of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) found that less than 1 percent of vaccine side effects are submitted to VAERS.

Some experts say that because of more widespread knowledge of VAERS since the Covid-19 vaccine, up to 20 percent of serious side effects may now be reported.
