Death of 28-year-old physical therapist after Moderna shot disappears from VAERS

Haley Link Brinkmeyer got the Moderna vaccine in January of 2021 and died less than 48 hours later; The report of her death has been removed from VAERS

The report of the sudden and shocking death of 28-year-old Haley Link Brinkmeyer after getting the Moderna vaccine has been deleted from VAERS, it was discovered this week.

Haley Link Brinkmeyer was working as a physical therapist in a nursing home in Evansville, Indiana, in January of 2021 when she got the Moderna Covid-19 vaccine at her workplace.

Haley Link Brinkmeyer and her husband Evan were high school sweethearts and prom king and queen at Reitz High School in Evansville, Ind.

“Haley and her immediate family thought she was doing the responsible thing. She worked with the elderly and she was a Type I diabetic,” her mother, Shauna O'Neill Link, recalled later in 2021 at a forum on vaccine injuries.

The next day, Haley was nauseous and vomiting, and the following morning, her husband found her on the floor of the bathroom of their home, deceased.

“None of us are prepared to live the rest of our lives without Haley,” her mother said at the forum, in between tears.

When reached by phone this week, Link said she didn’t know that the VAERS report on Haley’s death had been removed.

“It only got put in there because I started questioning Haley’s work,” Link said. “I was questioning if they had sent such a report.”

She says she couldn’t get answers until she called the office of U.S. Rep. Larry Bucshon (R-IN-8), and then called Haley’s employer back and mentioned she’d called the congressman’s office.

Within a couple of days, the VAERS report was filed.

She says she believes the report was filed either by Haley’s employer — a nursing home/rehab facility called the North River Health Campus — or by Walgreen’s, which administered the vaccines at the facility.

The VAERS ID for the report was 1145918-1.

As of this week, searches in VAERS using this number return “0” results, and VAERS now shows only one death following Covid-19 vaccination in Indiana for those aged 18-29: a 28-year-old man. The narrative for this report says only: “Unexpected death. Coroner reported enlarged heart, enlarged liver.”

On Haley’s report, the narrative was also brief and only included 2-3 sentences related to the circumstances of Haley’s death. But it also included the information that Haley was given the Moderna vaccine, lot number 027L20A.

The VAERS report was submitted on March 29, 2021 and was in VAERS until sometime in 2022.

VAERS is run jointly by the FDA and CDC, both sub-agencies of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

In the CDC Wonder database, where VAERS can be accessed, the department says that duplicate reports and reports determined to be false are removed.

There is no other reason given for the removal of any report.

Haley had gotten the vaccine on January 19, 2021 and died in the early morning hours of January 21, 2021.

The county coroner found that her cause of death was “diabetic hyperglycemia with ketoacidosis due to diabetes mellitus.”

But her mother doesn’t believe that her diabetes caused her death.

At the public forum in November of 2021, she said all three of her daughters had diabetes, and she knows that when one of them has gone into ketoacidosis (several times a year) she cannot speak.

Haley’s husband had told Haley’s family that he spoke to her before he went to bed that night.

Haley’s mother, Shauna O’Neill Link, says she was never contacted by the CDC, FDA or any other federal government agency investigating Haley’s death.
