Chaos at Secretary of State's office as Holli Sullivan struggles to keep staff
When Holli Sullivan was appointed Secretary of State by Gov. Eric Holcomb in March of 2021, she was asked if there would be any personnel changes in the office.
She replied that she was “looking forward to a smooth transition with this amazing staff.”
But a few months later, most of the top staff people in her office had resigned, including the chief of staff, Brandon Clifton.
A Republican political consultant tells Crossroads Report that three different county clerks said Clifton had told them “that Holli does not know what she’s doing…and that she doesn’t know the difference between a poll book and an e poll book, and he couldn’t get her to understand it, and it was really hard working underneath her, so he left.”
